Program Overview
Womack Cape Fear Orthopedic Surgery (WCF) Residency Program provides residents with an environment that promotes learning the art and science of orthopedic surgery. Our faculty are made up of members of orthopedic surgeons that practice at Cape Fear Valley Health and Womack Army Medical Center. Residents have exposure to all subspecialty areas of orthopedics, with subspecialty fellowship-trained faculty members in each area. Our residents and faculty work together as a team to develop the next generation of orthopedic surgeons and provide superior patient care.
Our curriculum is built around the core competencies. The program consists of:
- 4 orthopedic clinical years
- 1 multidisciplinary internship year
- A mentoring model of learning with board-certified, fellowship-trained specialists
- Large clinical volume
