Change Healthcare Cyberattack Impact on MHS Pharmacy Operations

26 February 2024
A reported cyberattack on the nation’s largest commercial prescription processor, Change Healthcare, has affected military clinics and hospitals worldwide. On February 21, Change Healthcare disconnected their systems to protect patient information. This is impacting all military pharmacies worldwide and some retail pharmacies nationally.

WAMC Pharmacies will provide outpatient prescriptions through a manual procedure until this issue is resolved. We ask that you limit pharmacy visits to urgent, same-day prescription needs only. For non-urgent prescription activation, we recommend that you utilize our Q-Anywhere service and text the word GET IN LINE to 844-309-3287 and we will be able to text you when the prescription is ready for pickup. Additionally, called in refills may take up to 4-duty days.

We appreciate your patience while pharmacies take longer than usual to safely fill prescription needs. We will keep you updated when the system has returned to normal.

Ongoing Phone System Problems

26 February 2024
Due to the CONUS-wide Voice Modernization effort to replace the phone system on Ft Liberty and at WAMC, you may experience delays in reaching clinics. We apologize for this inconvenience and are working to provide you a more stabilized system as soon as possible.
