Adverse Weather Plan and Closings

Closure Notice - September 30, 2022


Womack Army Medical Center Inpatient services, the emergency department and the fast track will be open on Friday, September 30, 2022 .  You may also speak with a healthcare Advice Line Nurse 24/7 by calling  1-800-TRICARE, Option 1.  
 
The remaining services of Womack Army Medical Center will be closed.  This includes the outlying primary care and specialty clinics, clinic pharmacies, pharmacy annex, main outpatient pharmacy, elective surgeries and other services will be closed on Friday,  September 30, 2022 due to Hurricane Ian.  Appointments scheduled for September 30 will be rescheduled. 
 
The outlying primary care clinics, pharmacies, surgeries and other outpatient clinics will reopen on Monday, October 3.       
 
All mission essential/adverse weather personnel should report for duty in accordance with guidance from their immediate supervisor. If you have questions regarding your duty status, please contact your immediate supervisor. For information regarding Access Control Points, please monitor the Fort Bragg website and Facebook page.

If Womack Army Medical Center staff want to stay at the hospital after their shift to ensure they do not have to be out on the roadways, staff can obtain cots and linen for the evening.  Please direct staff to contact the environmental room located in room BG0532-1 or staff can call at 910-907-6550.
 
Whether you’re on or off duty, keep in mind how dangerous operating a vehicle in adverse weather conditions can be. Take the time to prepare yourself and your vehicle before any work-related or personal trip. Factor in extra time for the trip and carry extra winter-related items in case the worst happens. You may not start your trip in bad weather, but conditions can change rapidly. Be prepared.
 
Any Womack team member unable to report due to unsafe conditions or unforeseen circumstances, should contact and receive acknowledgement from their supervisory chain.
