Walk-in contraceptive services begin at Womack Army Medical Center
The Gynecology & Acute Care clinic held a Walk-in Contraceptive Services ribbon cutting ceremony in celebration of expedited contraceptive care at Womack Army Medical Center, Jan. 26. Female, active-duty service members are now able to walk into the clinic on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tele-critical care, what it is and how it is benefiting the Fort Bragg Community
Critically ill patients now have access to 24/7 monitoring in the intensive care unit (ICU) at Womack Army Medical Center (WAMC). This service known as tele-critical care is a new tool that provides the best possible care, day and night to critically ill patients by utilizing experts in the medical field who can get them help immediately.

Womack Army Medical Center will begin testing of our Patient Portal On-Line Booking system within the Womack Family Medicine Residency Clinic (WFMRC).
The test, beginning 12 December 2022, will involve a limited number of providers within the WFMRC and their enrolled patients.

To reduce wait times and long lines, the refill prescription pick-up at Womack Main Pharmacy will change to Script Center only, beginning Dec. 19.

PET/CT Scans Now Provided
Fort Bragg, North Carolina — Womack Army Medical Center's Nuclear Medicine Services will now provide PET/CT (positron emission tomography/computed tomography) scans for service members, retirees, and their families, until October 1, 2023. In the past, these services were referred to the network locations outside of Womack. PET/CT scans are used mostly to detect the stages of cancer, the effectiveness of chemotherapy and radiation treatment. WAMC offers this service to create ease and access to patient care.
