First-of-Its-Kind Trauma Program Bridges the Gap Between Medics and Physicians

FORT BRAGG, NORTH CAROLINA, UNITED STATES — FORT BRAGG, NC— Womack Army Medical Center (WAMC) is revolutionizing trauma resuscitation with the launch of the Trauma Evaluation and Management (TEAM) course, marking a first for the Fort Bragg Medical Treatment Facility. The inaugural course trained 17 participants from across the healthcare team.

One Team, One Medicine: Defying the Storm to Save K-9 Lives

FORT BRAGG, NORTH CAROLINA, UNITED STATES — FORT BRAGG, NC -As hurricane-force winds and torrential rains subsided during a simulated exercise this week, the U.S. Army Veterinary Readiness Activity (VRA) Fort Bragg faced a worst-case scenario: a total power outage at their Role 3 Veterinary Treatment Facility (VTF) and a Military Working Dog (MWD) in critical condition.

WAMC 2025 Nurse Summer Training Program a Success

FORT BRAGG, NORTH CAROLINA, UNITED STATES — FORT BRAGG, NC-- The Nurse Summer Training Program (NSTP) is a 29-day clinical internship designed to provide Reserve Officer Training Corps Nursing students an opportunity at an authentic, first-look into the lives of Active-Duty Army Nurse Corps officers. The Cadets are assigned to a military treatment facility (MTF) and precepted by an Army Nurse officer. They are introduced to the duties, roles, responsibilities, and expectations of an officer and given the opportunity to provide hands-on nursing care in a variety of patient settings. For most Cadets, their nursing internship is preceded by the physically and mentally demanding 35-day Cadet Summer Training event. NSTP provides the ROTC nurse cadet the opportunity to coalesce the leadership lessons learned from CST into the hospital setting.
