Mission

To ensure and enforce radiation safety in accordance with (IAW) the concept of as low as reasonably achievable (ALARA) through the delivery of comprehensive, professional and technical support in matters of radiation safety to Womack and sister units on post. We ensure that radioactive material are used IAW the federal law. The health physics staff members protect healthcare workers, patients and other stakeholders from unnecessary radiation exposure by monitoring and assessing radiation levels.
