The Urgent Care Clinic At Womack Army Medical Center Is Now Open


The urgent care clinic at Womack Army Medical Center is now open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for testing and treating patients that have symptoms of COVID-19. The WAMC Urgent Care Clinic is a walk-in clinic only. Patients that walk in will receive a mask and undergo COVID-19 medical treatment. On weekends, patients with COVID-19 symptoms should go to the emergency room. Please use the All American Expressway entrance to access the medical center.   Test results may take up to 72 hours due to the number of tests administered.

Asymptomatic patients with possible exposure can call 910- 907-2778 to schedule a virtual appointment with a provider to discuss COVID-19 drive-thru testing options.  Asymptomatic patients who are preparing to deploy, returning from deployment, training, or have occupation requirements can call 910-907-1011 to schedule drive-thru testing appointments.
 

COVID Collection Site

The drive-thru testing site is at Womack Army Medical Center located near the Emergency Room at Womack, in a stand-alone brick building with numerous orange cones.  No appointment is needed but it is highly encouraged to call 910-907-1011 to book an appointment.  Testing hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The testing site is closed on federal holidays.

We will test any patient at the drive through testing site. Anyone with symptoms that requests to see a provider will be given instructions to go to the Urgent Care Clinic and a warm hand-of will be provided.


Who can be tested at the drive thru collection site?

All Retirees, dependents, beneficiaries and active duty can use the collection site. Contractors and DOD Civilians who are testing for official travel purpose can use the collection site. DOD Civilians or Contractors who are not eligible for Tricare Benefits can be tested for possible exposure.

Parents with pediatric patients less than 12 months old,  should contact their primary care manager.

Patients that may have other non-COVID-19 medical issues, please call the appointment line at 910-907-2778.

COVID results may take up to 72 hours to receive results based on the number of tests administered.

Patients may also access a healthcare advice nurse, 24/7 by calling 1-800-TRICARE, option 1.

COVID-19 vaccines are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Sports USA on Longstreet.
